Cub Scout Pack 3711 was  formed in August of 2012.  The Pack is sponsored by Calvary Chapel Thousand Oaks who has sponsored Boy Scout Troop 711 since February of 2010.

Currently, we normally have our Den Meetings at Calvary Chapel Thousand Oaks (2697 Lavery Court, Suite 10, Newbury Park, CA, 91320) on every other Monday from 6:45 to 8:00pm.  There are several fun family activities scheduled through out the year as well as a few Service Projects.

When the Pack was originally formed, we had one Den of eleven, 10 year old boys, all First Year Webelos!  The second year, 10 of those boys returned as Second Year Webelos.  In March of 2013, all of those 10 boys bridged to Boy Scouts, and we had a brand new 6 year old boy join as a "Tiger Cub", with his father as his Den Leader.  I remained on as Cub Master though my son, one of the ten Webelos, bridged to Troop 711.

Currently we still have only one Den, now with six boys; a "Tiger Cub" and five "Wolf Cubs".

This year, I am slowly transitioning away from Cub Master and will be remaining active in the Pack as a Committee Member.  A father of two of our boys will be taking over as Cub Master.  Currently we have the five required adults for a Pack to exist, in the following leadership positions: Committee Chairperson, Cub Master, Assistant Cub Master, Den Leader, and Assistant Den Leader.

We are actively recruiting boys of  the following ages: "Tiger" Cub Scouts are first grade, or 7 years old.  "Wolf" Cub Scouts are second grade, or 8 years old.  "Bear" Cub Scouts are third grade, or 9 years old.  "Webelos" are fourth grade, or 10 years old for 1st Year.  "Webelos" 2nd Year" are fifth grade.  A Cub Scout in fifth grade, and at least 10 years old  who completes the "Arrow Of Light" award can bridge to Boy Scouts; otherwise boys normally have to be in sixth grade, or 11 years old with no scouting experience.
